This study seeks to quantify variation in pediatric pharmacotherapy across small geographic regions and payer type (commercial or Medicaid). All-payer administrative data from 2007-2010 informed the study of rates of prescription for children aged 0-17 from New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Five common drug groups were selected as measures for this study because of their frequent use among pediatric prescribers.
